VIRTUAL CINEMA FAQ

While the BCRAC Historic Theatres are dark, we are happy to announce that we have been working with independent art house distributors to bring you our Virtual Cinema page. These films would be playing in art theaters all over the world and are unavailable on any other streaming platform. This is a new way to exhibit films for theaters and distributors alike. We hope the Frequently Asked Questions below can help you navigate this new movie-watching experience.  We are happy to bring you new movie options. Your support from watching these films will help us survive our temporary closure.  Honestly, we can't wait to see you all again soon at the movies. Thank you for joining us virtually!

HOW DO I WATCH THE FILMS?
Each film we offer will be available through the individual distributor's website and streaming platform. You can access these films from our Virtual Cinema page, where you'll be taken to their websites to purchase and watch the film. A portion of your "ticket" will support the Bradford County Regional Arts Council and our Historic Keystone, Rialto and Sayre Theatres, the same way it does when you buy a ticket at our box offices. Ticket price, terms of rental, and viewing methods will differ for each title and are available on the specific film page.

I JUST PURCHASED THE FILM, BUT I DON'T SEE HOW TO WATCH IT.
Once you've completed the purchase, your web browser should display instructions on how to watch the film, including information on any apps available for streaming devices. Additionally, you should receive an email receipt that also contains viewing instructions. If you are still having issues, please contact the film distributor via the email receipt (tech support contact information is often at the bottom of the email).

I'M A BCRAC MOVIE MEMBER. IS THERE A MEMBER PRICE?
Due to the nontraditional nature of these screenings, each Virtual Cinema selection is offered by the distributor at a flat rate to all patrons. Your virtual ticket purchase during this time not only gets you access to a wonderful, exclusive film in your home, but offers critical support for the cinema while we’re closed. If you'd consider an additional donation to BCRAC, you can do so here. Thank you!

CAN I USE GIFT CARDS OR PASSES FOR VIRTUAL SCREENING ROOM FILMS?
Unfortunately, that's not an option at the moment. You'll be able to use them when we reopen - thank you for your support!

I'M UNHAPPY WITH THIS EXPERIENCE. CAN I GET A REFUND?
All refunds will be handled by the distributor and not the BCRAC. Each distributor will be presenting the film on their platform and collecting money. If you’re having trouble reaching the distributor let us know by emailing info@bcrac.org and we’ll be happy to help.

HOW DO I GET THESE FILMS ON MY TV/FIRESTICK/CHROMECAST/ROKU ETC.?
Many Virtual Cinema films are available on apps for your streaming device such as Roku, Firestick, Chromecast, or Apple TV. Instructions for utilizing any available apps will generally be provided to you once you've paid for the film. In addition to using apps, there may also be ways to mirror your laptop or phone to your television. Because each person's home viewing setup is unique, we cannot offer support for this, but completing an internet search with what devices you have available is generally helpful. If your laptop or home computer has an HDMI port, connecting to your television using an HDMI cable may also be an easy way to get an image from your computer to your TV screen.
